Abandon Ship Theater Troupe announces Read Writing Hood for its 2026/2027 season. This plug-and-play assembly teaches and reintroduces elementary reading and writing concepts. The show runs 45-minute to an hour.
Read Writing Hood

An annoying grandma, a monster who can't quite finish a poem, and a big-bad wolf with the world's worst case of the munchies! A small theater troupe recounts the story of “Little Red Riding Hood” changing the story with the audience’s assistance. Little Red has adventures with similes, metaphors, homonyms, and other literary devices.
Read Writing Hood, is a fractured fairy tale that uses audience participation to turn the story of Little Red Riding Hood into a fun learning experience. The Abandon Ship Theater Troupe brings affordable educational theater to elementary school students of all backgrounds.
